All plugins seem to work fine on my site, except for Ultimate Tag Warrior (UTW) and Smiley JS Buttons. UTW has a function call is_tag() and it crashes with the newly tagging feature of WP
But fear no more, a simple 3-minutes solution suggested by moeffju will solve it, once and for all
My tags are back and running flawlessly. Both the speed of my blog and the admin site are improving as well, thanks to WordPress team. For ‘Smiley JS Buttons’, it looks like there’s no way to get it working with WP 2.2; so I decided to use another plugin: Custome Smileys by Do Quang Anh. This plugin allows me to show the smiley collection in admin panel besides the comment field, and also to define my own set of smiley – pretty simple and neat solution indeeed ![]()
hi, I was wondering and was hoping you could let me know how you got your smileys js buttons to work with WordPress 2.2, if you can please e-mail me the steps if you have the time thanks.
Hi Ruth, there’s only 2 simple steps I did to have the smilies back to normal:
1. Disable ‘Smiley JS Buttons’, so far it’s not working with WP 2.2
2. Download and acvite ‘Custome Smileys‘ plugin. I found this plugin very useful, it allows you to insert smilies in both admin panel and post comment field, also allows you to define your own set of smiley.
(Just be careful not to mess up the smilies, as you can see I did have some duplicate smilies displayed above, but it’s another story
)
Just give it a try, I’m sure you’ll be fine. Good luck
Email sent and post updated as well.
