If you ever played Unreal Tournament (UT) before, you found that UT series are totally different than the typical shooter coming out these days: the content are rich enough to keep you busy; the textures, character models, and animation are all top-notch; the background music and voices are high in energy; especially those game modes are designed just to blow you away

Epic kept their promise. UT III (previously known as UT 2007) was out for PC version on 19th November; the PS3, XBox 360 and Mac version are on their ways, we’re looking forward to see them all out by this December.

Powered by Unreal Engine 3, the same basic set of tools that powered Gears of War, graphic of UT3 are excellent and solid while still scaling well to fit mid-range machines. But if you want to turn all effects on, you should have at least 2.4Gb Dual Core Computer with +1Gb RAM and a decent ATI or NVIDIA graphic card

The following game modes are included: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Warfare (formerly known as Conquest) – an amalgamation of Onslaught and Assault, Vehicle Capture the Flag. Modes not returning from the previous UT games include Invasion, Onslaught, Bombing Run and Double Domination; Assault was removed from the game during production. However, the flexibility of the new Warfare mode will allow level designers to create Warfare maps that play like classic Onslaught or classic Assault

And a closing comment from IGN: At its core, Unreal Tournament 3 offers exactly what its predecessors (specifically UT ’99 and ’04) did to make it so popular: preposterous action at blindingly fast speeds. It’s all over the top, soaked in blood, nonsensical (hoverboards and stealth tanks?) and bathed in an electric light.

That’s more than enough for all gamers to get hands on UT3 as soonest as possible, let’s get in and get them killed
