With iPod, Mac computers, and the new warrior iPhone, Apple – the most innovative company in US – is growing stronger and faster than ever before. Statistics did show how well Apple’s stock is doing in this quarter. While Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, Fujitsu still remain as the top 5 PC vendors; and Microsoft Redmond is (as for many years) the giant of software provider; people are paying more attentions to Apple stuff.
As a happy switcher, what would I say? Mac is gorgeous outside and beautiful inside
Now the hard question is: Will Apple win the PC battle? Like American said “If you’re so smart, why aren’t you rich” ![]()

Read/WriteWeb has an amazing article covering many aspects, including the power of Apple computers, why they are not the leader of PC market (yet), then conclude with how Apple could possible achieve their aim. Read it here. Very good article indeed.
From that post, this paragraph catches my eyes:
One reason is of course cost - Apple computers are usually more expensive than PCs. But another reason is Inertia. When it comes to switch, the cost is not just measured in dollars – it is measured in time and brain power. Of course Macs are simple, but they are different. And anything different, particularly when it comes to technology, does not get learned instantly. It requires effort, willingness and time.
and so does the 1st comment followed. Definitely, every change needs time; but the time will come. Remember that time in 1998, when Apple introduced iMac with no Floppy disk, some thought the world’s end was near
Five years later, during Feb 2003, Dell also moved the same direction, to not include Floppy disk in their PC lines. Sounds cool right ![]()
