Time Magazine’s cover story dated Dec 13, 2006 by Grossman had picked Person of the Year 2006 is You.
Yes, you. You control the Information Age. Welcome to your world.
Time emphasized that it’s you who brought the community and collaboration to a giant scale never seen before, that’s you who contributed to Wikipedia, participated in YouTube network; and of course, it’s you who made revolutions to Web 2.0
More specifically, amongst us, Time decided that the social network YouTube has put individuals at the heart of the action.
Needless to say, the story of Overnight Internet success of 2 YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley and Steve Chen has motivated us into truly believing that we can create a big thing on the Internet. Launched on Feb 2005, YouTube now is the King of online video sharing and is the most-visited website on Earth.
Some can say those 2 co-founder are well-blessed. It could be true, but thank to them so that we can have a real example of turning from concepts into Hyper-growth. Now Google had bought YouTube, the hyper curve is turning faster than anyone can imagine and who can tell when it’ll stop. Like Chinese people often say, the tiger now has wings
