Some interesting Japanese facts

I spent this afternoon surfing through some WordPress-powered websites and found some fun facts about Japanese. Let’s sum them up in a non-particular order list

  • Japanese are crazy in love with their mobile phones, that’s for sure
  • 43% of wives produce audible bottom burps within their first year of marriage (Survey done by Fount of Trivia – Japanese TV Program, translated and published by What Japan Thinks)
  • Aya Kamiki is very cute and she plays Rock too, a positive sign for J-Rock, still could be improved

  • Most Japanese still watching CRT TVs. Really?
  • If I could pick one favourite Japanese actress, I certainly go for Norika Fujiwara, she was stunning in China Strike Force (2000) – classy and charming, the Monica Bellucci of Asia. Which one will you pick?

  • Japanese Idols are the most gorgeous babes on Earth. I bet you’ll say the same thing. But Japan only won Miss Universe once in 1959 And this year, it seems that the neighborhood, Korea, will be the winner.

    Update 29 May: Riyo Mori, the 20 years old ballet dancer from Japan, was crowned as Miss Universe 2007, not Korean, not Venezuelan. Sweeeettttttt
