1. Shinjuku Incident (2009)
Starring Jackie Chan, Daniel Wu, Fan Bingbing, Shinjuku Incident retold a story of Chinese migrant communities in Tokyo hounded by the Yakuza and living each day in fear of being discovered and repatriated.

It is an alien world for Steelhead (Jackie Chan), an honest, hardworking tractor repairman from northern China, who took the perilous journey to Tokyo in search of his girlfriend, Xiu Xiu. Steelhead wins the respect of migrants by establishing a base for them and forming an uneasy alliance with the Yakuza. But his peace is short-lived as he learns that his friends are being used to front the Yakuza’s drug business.
Steelhead feels responsible for this turn of events but can one Chinese migrant take on the Yakuza?
It’s been a while Asian movies are back to storm the screen
Jackie Chan this time portraited a whole new style with Shinjuku Incident, and thank to his dramatic role that make Shinjuku Incident even more amazing. One should not miss it, especially when you are fan of Asia crime drama and gang stories.
Last but not least, director of Shinjuku Incident, Derek Yee, was director of Protege (2007), hope that name would ring a bell
2. Sniper (2009)
Snipers-related movies always make me excited; from Sniper I (1993), Enemy at the Gate (2001), Sniper II (2002), Sniper III (2004) to Shooter (2007) each of them just made me feel more thirsty. This time, the 3 top snipers are from Hong Kong Elite Police Force and speak Cantonese instead ^^
Ming (starring Richie Jen) is renowned as the top shooter in the police force. But behind the legend lies a skeleton in the closet: his former teammate and superb marksman Ching (starring Huang Xiaoming), who was jailed for accidentally killing a hostage, has just been released. With only vengeance in his mind, Ching determines to take on Ming and the police, believing they are the real culprits for his fall.
When a high-security prisoner transfer is sabotaged by a mysterious sniper and a major convict has escaped, Ming and his team are dispatched to profile the suspect. OJ (starring Edison Chen), the hot-headed rookie of the team, surprises everyone by accurately replicating the suspect’s impossible shots. Ming sees the potential in this youngster and decides to take him under his wing. Yet when OJ becomes fascinated by Ching and determines to top his shooting skills, he might become another wild card on the loose.
Meanwhile, Ching continues his plan with the largest heist ever in the city. Believing that Ming has withheld key evidence that could free him, Ching decides to lure his target in by holding Ming’s daughter as hostage and re-enacting that fateful day. It is the ultimate showdown amongst the three skilled snipers in the Hong Kong cityscape …

The movie should be aired earlier, but due to Edison Chen’s photo scandal, it was set back till now after almost a year delay
but you won’t put the blame on him, simply because he is again shining, just like what he did in Dog Bite Dog (2006), Initial D (2005). End to end, Sniper is a good movie to watch, can’t compare to Infernal Affairs or Blood Brother but defenitely worth to try out when the weekend comes.
3. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)

April ends with the drop of X-Men Origins: Wolverine featuring story of twenty years before X-Men, on Wolverine’s violent past (Hugh Jackman), and his early encounters with William Stryker (Danny Huston). The Weapon X program and his interactions with other mutants will be explored including his relationship with his half-brother Sabretooth.
This movie is a prequel to the X-Men film trilogy, focusing on the mutant Wolverine and his time with Team X, before Wolverine’s skeleton was bonded with the indestructible metal adamantium.

Nothing much to tell now, but the tempting Trailer and Synopsis will make us run for it surely, just wish we can enjoy the mutants super natural actions
